The name thebillyman came from back when I was in highschool in '98 or so. I used to write these short stories that were just crazy. They got the name Insanely Stupid Short Stories from my cousin Landon Kraemer. The very first story I wrote was titled thebillyman.

In my earlier years in college (around 2001) I worked at a print shop and was allowed to print for free pretty much anything I wanted because my boss was amazing! So I began putting these stories into small 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 books (they could be described as a Zine). We would bring them to local music shows and pass them out and leave them around campus for people to read. They got a pretty good response but we only printed about 100-200 of each issue. We made about five in all. Brennan Robertson was the other collaborative mind in this. He wrote half of the stories. Later I got into making films and practically fell in love with it. Thebillyman was original so I stuck with it. I hope to continue to use the name.

I know that didn't answer the question, but background info is good. So, what is it? It's me, Jason Dupree. That's pretty much it. I do all of the design and editing of all my projects. I have tons of help when it comes to writing scripts and acting and everything else that is involved. Those people are credited in every project they are involved in. I appreciate them in very huge amounts.

Myself, I am a teacher. At this point in time I teach sixth grade math in Amite, Louisiana. I love kids. But in my spare time (one of my many hobbies) I love to make films. I've made a couple of skateboarding films. I've done a DVD for a band I was in. So that's it. Just me, a camera, and my computer.
